Wellbeing

Wellbeing permeates everything we do in St Louis N.S. We try to have a mixture of activities to suit everyone's interests and talents across arts, sports, technology and more. Each Wednesday we have an assembly in which we discuss what we are grateful for and what made us smile that week. We also celebrate birthdays and achievements during the assembly. We look forward to the upcoming activities and events of the week. We discuss what new resources we could purchase for the school to enhance student wellbeing. We also have a Wellbeing Board with many quotes - each student gets an opportunity to choose one that goes in the centre of our board and it becomes our motto for the week. We have a Cosy Corner in our lobby. Each group is timetabled for two sessions a week in the cosy corner – to jump on the trampoline, relax in the tent, play in the sand, read a book, play cards or play with the sensory equipment.
